If you’re a regular listener, well let me just say thank you for making 2021 a great year! Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you know it or not, you’ve been an important part of my journey and I’m grateful for your support.

When I first began Positivity on Fire on New Year’s Eve 2020 – in the midst of a global pandemic no less – I had no clue where the show would go and what I would share. I just knew more positivity was needed in the world and I was called to do my part.

As we mark the 1 year anniversary of the show I have amazing news to share and can't wait for 2022 to begin -- it's going to be an incredible year.

Did you realize my friends that today marks the one year anniversary of positivity on fire. That's freaking amazing to me whole Lee cow. Now, if you're a regular listener, let me just say thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you know it or not, you've been an important part of my journey. And I'm grateful for your support. Thank you too, for sticking with me. You shared the show with your friends. You've shared it with your co workers, you've posted it on social media, and the word has spread. You my friends have helped make this show a global show. Yes, listeners tune in regularly from the United States from Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, Germany and France. And with your support, you've helped this show reach almost 4000 downloads in the last year I truly, truly, truly My mind is blown. And I am psyched for what 2022 holds for this show and for our collective journeys. And when I first began positivity on fire on New Year's Eve 2020. Yeah, right in the midst of a global pandemic, I had no clue where the show would go in what I would share. To be honest, I just knew more positivity was needed in the world. And I was called to do my part, I ended up being vulnerable. I share parts of my life with you that I never thought I would. The episode on overcoming body image was a particularly tough one for me, among others. I shared research and tips I found online and I added my own perspective along the way. I interviewed some amazing people. And along the way I discovered myself and my purpose in life. And I'm so grateful for my journey and for you being a part of it. It does it means the world to me. Now over the Christmas break. My family spent time in the Florida Keys and it was such a needed break. Such good son's such good downtime, but it wasn't all downtime. Yeah, I reflected on this past year. I got up early every morning, which I love to do when we're there to catch the amazing sunrises coming up over the water. Sometimes I even take the kayak out and catch the sunrise on the water. And I even took a few naps on the beach. But what I also did, I also planned for 2022 I worked on some amazing new content that will be rolling out in the year ahead and I can't wait. Absolutely can't wait to share with you. I am so psyched. And I'm hopeful that you'll be psyched as well. So what makes me so excited like why am I so pumped about 2022? Well, let me just say the past year 2021 with all of its highs, all of its lows, with all of my work with my coaches, my mentor my partners, and sharing my journey right here on positivity on fire on this podcast, even on Instagram, Tik Tok, let me tell you, it helped me land and what comes next for me. The journey has been amazing. But now I know what I'm called to do. Why is it so important? Let me just tell you, as you can tell, I'm totally obsessed with self discovery journeys, personal growth and development, not only my own, which you can tell, right, I'm here every single Saturday putting out new episodes for you about my own journey. But I'm also excited for other people's journeys, as well. And it all started right here last year, December 31 2020. On positivity on fire when I launched the first episode about my positivity quest. Now, if I look back on the last year, but we'll call it almost two years from now, so March of 2020. Really, it's it's led me to this inflection point right here as we December 31. As we get ready for 2022 tomorrow. It's no secret January of two 2020 I was working a job I was good at. In fact, it was actually an award winning good app, like I was really good at my job. But I wasn't fulfilled the day to day had them, meaning for me no longer got me excited. I wasn't pumped to go to work every day. And I needed a change. That change, oddly enough, came in February 2020. I had just agreed to partner in a new venture. With plans to leave my job in January 2021. I was going to dive right into entrepreneurial life. But then march 2020, comes, yep, the COVID 19 pandemic hits, full on glam boom, how? Yeah, things change. I was the CEO for a school at that time. And I just couldn't abandon my colleagues, I couldn't abandon the students, I couldn't have been the parents, I wasn't gonna leave them in a pinch without tech leadership. That's how I operate. I'm super loyal, not gonna leave people behind. Now, I knew I had to stay the entire school year to serve the community. And I tried to do that, as well as work on the entrepreneurial venture with my new partner. Well, let's just say in August 2020, at the height of preparing for the school year, not knowing what the pandemic would hold not knowing how we would do in person and hybrid. The call came from my new partner, and they said, Listen, this partnership isn't working out. It's not working out, we need to go our separate ways. My friends, I was crushed, like knocked the wind out of you crushed. For the first time in my entire career, I had failed in a really big way. But more importantly, I had to let a good friend and colleague down. Now to say I was devastated. Well, that would be an understatement. I was crushed. It was devastating. It really was devastating. Now, fulfillment from my current job was gone. My first entrepreneurial venture done over, I started to spiral and I was left, what comes next? What comes next? I wasn't fulfilled. I had a new opportunity, the new opportunity was gone. What comes next for me? Well, you fast forward to September 2020. And we haven't launched positivity on fire just yet. And my wife, interviews for an amazing new job, and she lands it. She's in the midst of it right now. She's absolutely crushing it. But here's the thing, September 2020, she lands it. But because we're in a school or an education, it doesn't start till July 1. So we're not moving for nine months. And I had some serious time to think now, here's where my own self discovery begins. Since I was already left wondering what the heck comes next for me. Now I was forced to face it head on. I didn't have a choice. And I had nine months, nine frickin months to ponder. Nine months is too much time when you're not in the right mindset to face your fears. When you are starting to fight, mounting self doubt, nine months is way too long. So now if I'm being honest, September 2022, November 2020, was probably one of the roughest times in my life other than April of 2007. When our house burned down. I talked about that, in that way back in episode one this time last year. Now, that was probably the September 2020 to November 2020 was probably two of the toughest months of my life. I started to binge eat, and binge drink and spent my free time wallowing in my own self doubt. Now, yes, I was throwing myself the hugest, biggest ginormous cyst is that even a word I'm enormous is probably not the biggest, hugest pity party you can imagine. And I was absolutely depressed. Life was not good, flat out period. It wasn't. I was miserable. And I was really good at hiding it. Now. That's what impasse do never let them see you sweat or panic or be depressed. But then something amazing happened in November 2020. My friends I discovered the coaching and positive psychology Institute I spent six months becoming a certified personal and executive coach. In December of 2020, I began to meditate daily. Let's start at 2021 I started to see life more clearly. I started to take better care of myself. That's still an ongoing struggle. Up and down as many of you can probably imagine. Now we got moved in June and July we got settled into Massachusetts. We're loving the South Shore. Boston is a quick commute. It's a great place to be and it's a tember 2021 I launched Jason Ramsden coaching and I started working with clients. Oh, it's been such a year. Now, what does this all have to do with this show about positivity and mindset? Actually, it has to do a ton with it. Now in the year ahead, I am going to be focusing my energy on helping guide people in their journeys to regain, redefine and reimagine their lives, just like I did. I went through the process, it took me what it almost took me two years. And I want to help others progress faster than I did. I want to help guide people in their journeys. And I'm called I really believe I'm called to be the Yes, I said the life coach for Gen Xers who are looking to rediscover themselves and change their lives. Okay, boomers and millennials, you're welcome to. But I'm a Gen Xer. So that's where my focus is. Now, if that sounds like you, let me ask you, are you unhappy with your current life as you head into 2022? Do you feel lost? Do you find yourself in a life transition? Or what about a career transition? Maybe you're part of the great resignation, which I think should be called the Great reshuffle osrr on that, if you're part of that, because you just weren't fulfilled anymore, or because your organization has pivoted? Well, then this show is for you. If you feel like something is holding you back, if you feel like you deserve more, if you feel like you're ready for more in life, I believe 2022 is going to be an amazing year for you. And you should believe it, too. And here's why. No, here's why I'm so excited for this new year's eve. Not only is it celebrating one year of positivity on fire, we're getting to celebrate that anniversary. But to help kick start 2022 I've created a workbook for you my friends, I've created a workbook called Seven Steps to regaining your confidence, redefining yourself and re imagining your life. The workbook is a 10 page, deep dive, alright, maybe not deep. But as a 10 page, dive in discovering what lights you up, what holds you back, and how you can move forward. The workbook also includes a link to a Facebook group. Now, the Facebook group is designed to help people who want to join a community of other folks who are looking to regain, redefine and re imagine their lives.
